NZ Diploma in Music (Level 5)

Summary

The NZ Diploma in Music (Level 5) is a one-year, full-time music qualification that develops musicianship and performance skills. Students are given opportunities to experience all aspects of music including assisting in the annual Vision College tour to schools and other performance events, developing and strengthening their musical knowledge in preparation for the following two years of the Bachelor of Music Degree.

All applicants for this programme need to be able to play an instrument or sing and will receive one-on-one tuition that will take their skills to a more advanced level.

Unlike other one-year music diplomas, this NZ Diploma in Music satisfies the requirements for the full first year of the Bachelor of Music. Students have the option to complete this diploma on its own or to continue on to the final two years of the Bachelor of Music.
