Gain hands-on experience working in fruit production.
Regular field trips and work experience will give you a chance to learn in a practical way and you'll also learn health and safety skills which are necessary in this industry.
We'll also help you build your CV and employment skills, and you'll meet plenty of growers during the programme.
You'll graduate with a New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) with a context in Fruit Production.
You will study: This programme runs from August - November and includes a work placement. This will introduce you to growers and potential employers.
You'll learn: health and safety skills, necessary to be a part of the industry; practical and technical skills; through practical study and regular field trips; CV and employment skills.
Delivery: On-campus and some distance learning as well as onsite at local horticultural firms
