Learn the basics of prepping skin and applying a range of makeup techniques. From day to night, photographic to corrective, you’ll learn the full range of makeup techniques and you could earn a job with a top cosmetics house, work as a freelance artist or pathway into our Level 4 Beauty Therapy Certificate.

Course content

Perfect the art of providing a skin consultation, learn how to perform facials, and prescribe a skin care regime from Kalahari.

It’s all about eyes and brows right now. Learn how to make them pop like a pro. Transform a client into a blushing bride, give a client a natural “no makeup” look or transform them with a dramatic night look. Master beauty techniques that keep clients coming back for more; mani, pedi and spray tan.

You are your most important asset. Learn to sell yourself with networking and communication skills, and sales techniques.

Qualifications Awarded

New Zealand Certificate in Make Up and Skincare (Level 3)

Entry criteria

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • NCEA Level 1 qualification or equivalent
  • International students must have a minimum of IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5. in writing (within the last two years)
