What will you learn
You will develop and apply essential skills in the control of your hand-tools to achieve dimensions & marking out, forming, filing, soldering, making settings, cutting stone holes and back holes, polishing, to construct jewellery to prescribed parameters.
These skill-sets focus on establishing accuracy and applying problem-solving skills in the production of fine jewellery.
This program is closely linked to employment-focused activities and will suit anyone who is considering further study to make goldsmithing and jewellery a career.

Industry Bench hand, Apprentice, Maker in associated creative industries.
Education Pathway
Learners may enroll for NZSAF Level 4 NZ Certificate in Art & Design, and NZ Diploma in Jewellery Level 5.
Minimum Requirements - You must be 18 years of age or older, and have English at NCEA Level 1 or equivalent, as all tuition is conducted in English.
Detailed Requirements - An audition is required and is free of charge. Prior experiences or achievements are not assessed unless requested.
English Language Requirements
Student from a country with a visa decline rate of more than 20%:
NCEA Level 3 with University Entrance or equivalent
Certificate of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA)
Internationally recognised English language proficiency test scores.
