Study options
Students who successfully complete 1.5 years within Taylor University’s relevant undergraduate study programme may be enrolled directly into the University of Otago’s Bachelor of Pharmacy. Students can then graduate with a Bachelor of Pharmacy after 2.5 years of successful full-time study with Otago (1.5 years + 2.5 years).
New Zealand Qualification
The University of Otago Bachelor of Pharmacy is accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council and is recognised as an approved qualification by the Malaysian Pharmacy Board and SingaporePharmacy Council.
The Otago BPharm, the oldest university pharmacy degree in New Zealand, opens opportunities to practise as a pharmacist in various professional settings. It is a broad-based university programme in the physical, biological, social and health sciences.
Applicants must successfully complete the required programme of study at Taylor's University, with an overall cumulative GPA or 2.80 or higher and must meet the University of Otago's English entry requirements.
