Summary
This professional programme aims to develop comprehensive applied leadership knowledge, skills, belief and value-driven capabilities and to deepen and extend knowledge and skills acquired through prior study and / or experiences. Learners also develop the capacity to undertake independent research and scholarship in elected and related focus areas. Those targeted for entry to this programme will have a strong interest in developing applied leadership, and advanced field, research and scholarship capabilities in areas of interest.
OPPORTUNITIES POST-GRADUATION
Upon graduation, graduates will be able to take on the following positions: team leader, lead coordinator, department or section leader or deputy leader or deputy CEO of an organisation, department or project. A person who holds a postgraduate Diploma may be eligible to enrol in a Master’s Degree.
Entry criteria
Applicants are required to hold:
- a Bachelor’s Degree, or
- an approved Graduate Certificate or Diploma, or
- an approved Advanced level 7 Diploma, or
- relevant skills and knowledge acquired through appropriate work or professional experience
Learners are required to have achieved an Academic IELTS score of 6.5 in one recent test event with no band score lower than 6 or an equivalent NZQA-approved English language standard.
All applicants will be required to complete an application form and a 400 to 600-word leadership project proposal including a statement about how their project success might be evaluated, and undertake an in-person or telephone or Skype interview.
