Summary

This programme will take your food and beverage skills to the next level, from café to restaurant services. Our on-site cafe and restaurant training facilities will enable you to gain important hands-on experience which you can then put into practice during an industry work experience placement.

Overview

Upon successful completion of this programme, you will be able to monitor and maintain food and beverage service in the hospitality industry.

You will:

develop the skills required to identify Food and Beverage service requirements
apply the skills required to identify Food and Beverage service requirements
acquire the work essential skillls to be able to evaluate performance in a work environment
showcase monitoring and maintenance of Food and Beverage service skills.

Further study options

On successful completion of the Level 4 programme, coupled with motivation and work experience, you will be in a perfect position to staircase into our New Zealand Diploma in Hospitality Management (Level 5).

Entry criteria

New Zealand Certificate in Food and Beverage (Level 3) (Café Services) (Bar Services), OR
Six months experience as a Food and Beverage Attendant.

IELTS test: General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5; TOEFL paper based test (PBT): Score of 500 (with an essay score of 4 TWE); TOEFL internet based test (IBT): Score of 35 (with a writing score of 14); Cambridge english examinations: B2 First or B2 First for Schools with a score of 154. No less than 154 in each skill; Pearson test of english (ACADEMIC): PToE (Academic) score of 36; Language Certificate: B1 Achiever IESOL (LRWS) with PASS and no less than Pass in each skill.
