Global Pathways to New Zealand:

The NCUK International Foundation Year qualification designed with our university partners to prepare you for first year entry to undergraduate degree courses. Studying in small classes with NCUK in your home country before you start your degree will give you the confidence you need before you start your degree course.

Quality is at the heart of everything that we do so our qualifications meet the highest academic standards set by our university partners. As well as academic knowledge, the NCUK International Foundation Year will give you specialist English language, study and cultural skills that are an essential part of your degree course. This unique combination will help you to get in to the University of your choice and get on with your future career.

Entry criteria

Students entering the International Foundation Year (IFY) qualification must meet NCUK’s entry requirements. Please use the IFY entry requirements to check the information for your country/qualifications.

To progress to your chosen undergraduate degree programme, you'll need to meet the University's requirements for completing IFY. The University will look at your grades in the three subject modules on the IFY qualification. The minimum entrance standard is BCC (Bcom)/CCC (BA) but some courses may have higher requirements. Some degree courses may also have pre-requisite subject requirements - to progress to these courses, you'll need to have taken these subjects as part of your IFY and achieved the required grades in them. You can use an overall Grade C with no bands below D in English for Academic Purposes to meet the university’s minimum English language requirements.
