Our school is extremely well resourced with modern specialist facilities in all areas of Arts, Sports and Phys Ed, Technology, Science and general classroom facilities. Our wireless network provides internet access for our digital fluency classes and allows all teachers to utilise technology to aid learning.

Kamo High School was established in 1960. It is situated close to the northern boundary of Whangarei and serves the Whau Valley – Kamo area as well as the rural districts to the north, west and north east. These extend as far as Ngaiotonga-Bland Bay, Purua and Whananaki.
The school has been fortunate that many of its buildings have been upgraded and extended recently. Special facilities exist for the teaching of Computing, Horticulture, Hospitality, Media Studies, and Technology. There are well-equipped Science laboratories, two Gymnasiums, Swimming Pool, Astro-turf (four tennis courts), Library, Music Suite with Digital Recording studio, Stationery Shop, Canteen, four major sports fields, a Wharenui and an Arts Centre which provides modern facilities for Art, Photography, Sculpture, Performing Arts, Dance and Music
Kamo High School hosts students from all around the world. The students study a full academic programme and are able to participate in an extensive range of activities outside the classroom.
