Languages International is an English language school for adult learners in Auckland, New Zealand. At Languages International, our aim is to be excellent in every aspect of what we are and what we do: our school facilities, our English courses, the training and development of our teachers, support for our students while they are in NZ, and service to our students and their families before they come to our school. Established in 1978, we have welcomed thousands of learners to help them to achieve their educational goals and have an unforgettable life experience. As well as offering General English courses for students at all levels of English competence, we specialize in:
- English for Academic Purposes - our English for University programme helps students to build the language and study skills they need to enter confidently into higher education in an English-speaking institution. We work with a number of highly regarded institutions in New Zealand to give our students opportunities to qualify for entry to their chosen course via a pathway. We also offer flexible, multi-level preparation for the IELTS test.
- Cambridge Exams Preparation - we have long been trusted to guide students in their preparation for the internationally renowned First (FCE), Advanced (CAE) and Proficiency (CPE) exams. We offer preparation courses at all three levels, three times a year.
- Teacher Training- the first New Zealand institution to run the globally-recognised Cambridge CELTA English language teacher training course in 1988, Languages International has since helped over 1,500 trainees to gain their first professional teaching qualification. We also offer in-service teachers the opportunity to gain the Cambridge Delta qualification, and have lead the way in providing other forms of professional development for teachers.
- Workplace Literacy - since 2009, we haveprovided literacy support for New Zealand companies and agencies. Beginning with English language support for applicants to the NZ Police, The Literacy Professionals have since helped many New Zealand workers to gain more enjoyment and benefit from their work by improving their key language and literacy skills.
