Lindisfarne College is a state-integrated boarding and day school for boys, located on a stunning 22ha park-like campus on the outskirts of Hastings in Hawke’s Bay. Since opening in 1953, Lindisfarne College has had a clear vision: that the young men of Lindisfarne will be of good character and will go on to lead lives of success and significance.
Immersed in the Lindisfarne College culture of excellence, every boy is motivated to discover his strengths - whether it be in the classroom, on the sports field, on the stage or in serving others.
Success, however, is not just measured by what a Lindisfarne boy achieves, but how he chooses to live his life as a good son, brother and friend, and future colleague, husband, father.
We have exceptionally talented and committed staff who understand the educational and pastoral needs of boys.
Staff are committed to their professional development, continually upskilling in their areas of expertise locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. All our staff coach a summer and/or a winter sport or co-curricular activity. We believe this is key to developing strong teacher-student relationships enhancing and enriching their educational experience.
Our international students add significant value to the social fabric of our College community by bringing different cultures and values into our everyday College life. Currently we have students from Thailand, China, Japan, South Korea, New Caledonia and Futuna.
We offer international students a comprehensive and encompassing education; many of them go on to seek tertiary education in New Zealand. All our international students board within the College campus and homestays are arranged for all public and school holidays.
