Pastoral care of the boys is paramount and the school has a wide range of strategies to ensure that they feel safe, happy and have a sense of belonging.
Our vision is to Unlock Each Boy's Potential' which is achieved by having a personalised learning programme and a world class curriculum, which is underpinned with a strong set of traditional Christian values.
In the education of boys, certain facts have been proved: Boys need and prefer structure. They need to ‘belong’ and be guided through their educational journey. Boys flourish when they are confident in their environment and comfortable with their peers. At Medbury, we are focused on the varied learning styles of boys within small class settings, enabling teachers to cater for the boys’ individual needs. Grouping systems in the classroom provide a personalised learning programme, ensuring that boys can be extended and supported where necessary, following the New Zealand National Curriculum.
