Welcome to Wainuiomata High School! We can offer you a supportive and challenging centre of learning for all students. We place high expectations on students to set and achieve goals for themselves. We provide our students with a modern school, excellent facilities, a truly modern curriculum and committed staff.
The High School is in Wainuiomata, a suburb of Lower Hutt, only 15km from the centre of Wellington, the capital city. It is a medium sized co-ed school of around 805 students.
The High School provides a full academic programme. All International Students studying for University Entrance have gone onto University study. We offer safe, warm, comfortable homestays. Our Host Families are closely monitored to insure excellent service. The students at the High School are very friendly and welcoming towards International Students. We also offer a wide range of sports, cultural and academic clubs. Students can also take part in sporting activities such as rugby, soccer, badminton, basketball, volleyball, tennis, hockey, waka ama etc.
