Wairarapa College is a school of 1070 students, situated in the thriving town of Masterton, a short commute to Wellington City. It is reliably linked by train, bus and air. Masterton is the hub of the Wairarapa district, which is rich in outdoor and farming pursuits. It has every facility and more that is expected in a medium sized town. They include excellent recreational centres and retail services.

Wairarapa College has a strong academic tradition and is rich in sporting and cultural opportunity. It has expansive grounds, farms, and teaching and learning facilities. There is an onsite pool and hostel, which has elaborate facilities. It is the largest school in the Wairarapa and has every opportunity available. Participation is encouraged and supported.

Students can negotiate to stay with homestay families, either in town or in the country with rural or farming families or stay in our well-resourced hostel, where 7 day board in dedicated well-appointed student flats is available.
