Summary
Wellington Girls' College (WGC) is one of New Zealand's leading state high schools for girls, ideally located in downtown Wellington. WGC was established in 1883 and has a long history of academic success and an enviable reputation.
Modern facilities and excellent teaching programmes result in consistently high national academic results, scholarship awards, sporting and cultural successes. In addition to strong academic programmes, students are encouraged to participate in the numerous club, sports or cultural activities that take place in school. The high level of participation and motivation is reflected in over 100 sports teams, three choirs, two orchestras, a concert band, numerous clubs, dance and drama activities.
The WGC campus is compact and modern, with wifi throughout. Students bring their own devices to school and technology is fully integrated into everyday learning.
