Taipei Municipal Wanfang High School

Summary

Wanfang High School is a complete high school, serving students in grades 7 through 12. We have more than 1,600 students, among whom about 1,100 are in the senior high school division. Recognised for innovation and diversity, our school designed the curriculum based on the abilities, needs, and interests of the students.

We developed pre-eminent courses in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and Student-Centered Highlight Projects received substantial funding from the Department of Education, Taipei City Government. Other programs provided students with enrichment classes, social justice education, trips to local academic or cultural institutions, and mentorship. A variety of club activities take place on our lively campus, which is another big focus of campus life. Among the numerous merit awards, the International School Award (ISA) demonstrated our strong commitment to embedding international awareness and understanding across our school. A lot of subject matters were connected and integrated under a unifying theme of international culture exchange. With three criteria reviewed (curriculum integration, international exchange and teachers’ professional development), Wanfang was awarded top-level Accreditation. We offer the IFY in Business, preparing our highly able students to progress to top universities in the UK and around the world.
