Note: Completion of this programme does not guarantee entry or provide preferential entry into the degree programme. Entry requirements for the Medical Imaging Technology Degree still apply, and selection is highly competitive.

You'll sharpen your study skills, improve your written and oral communication, and gain foundation knowledge of medical imaging technology. Numeracy skills relevant to health and science are covered, as well as background theory and practice in biology, microbiology, physics and chemistry.

This programme is ideal for those who are returning to study, and wish to revise their health, physics and maths knowledge before embarking on the three year Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging Technology) degree. It will be suitable for:

  • People under the age of 20 years and who have not achieved University Entrance
  • People under the age of 20 who have University Entrance, but who did not do science subjects and want to study health science-based courses before applying for the Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging Technology) degree programme
  • People over the age of 20 who have not studied for some time and want to undertake some health science-based courses before they apply for the Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging Technology) degree programme to refresh their study skills.
