This course will equip you with comprehensive knowledge of construction principles and methods, as well as construction law and legislation. You’ll gain expertise in dispute resolution and strategic communication tailored to industry standards. The course also covers contract negotiation and administration, estimating and cost planning for various construction projects, procurement processes, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, you’ll receive an overview of construction economics, both locally and globally. What is a Professional Quantity Surveyor? Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of: New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) (Level 6)
To be admitted to this course, applicants must meet the following general admission requirements:
Any ākonga who is 20 years of age or over and has not reached the standard admission requirements is eligible for Special Admission.
Flexi-learn Delivery Option
If you plan to enrol in the flexi-learn option then, in addition to the above requirements, you must already be working in the field of quantity surveying and have a reasonable level of experience (this will be determined by way of a skills questionnaire). You must also have the support of your employer and be able to nominate an appropriate mentor.
