Career optionsGraduates are well prepared for careers in enterprise, government, the energy sector, and entrepreneurship. They can transition directly into roles spanning automation and control, mechanical design, product development, and corporate R&D. Expanding infrastructure and sustainability markets create strong opportunities in energy and power generation, clean technology, and asset management, while the program's focus on practical innovation equips graduates to launch engineering startups or build independent consulting practices.
Career progression typically moves from supervised entry-level roles to independent practice as registered Engineering Technology Practitioners and Chartered Member (Engineering Technologist), advancing to team leadership and potentially to general management positions - all while maintaining and expanding professional competence.
Emphasising ethical practice, teamwork, communication, and project management, the programme will prepare you for diverse mechanical engineering roles and ongoing career growth. The degree also provides clear pathways to further study, including four-year engineering degrees, graduate diplomas, and postgraduate qualifications.
