A Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from UC gives you the knowledge and skills to succeed in a global business environment, from financial markets to the latest management practices and the rapidly expanding world of e-commerce.

Entry criteria
To enrol in the Bachelor of Commerce degree at UC you will need:
- University Entrance (or equivalent). UC offers transition programmes for those who need help meeting these requirements.
- If English is not your first language, you are also required to meet UC's Undergraduate language requirements. See how to provide your English language evidence to UC. If you need help meeting these requirements, or would like to practise your English skills before studying, UC offers English for Academic Purposes (EAP) language programmes.
You may also gain entry to the Bachelor of Commerce via the Diploma in University Studies or Diploma in University Studies (International) which is an alternative first year of the degree offering additional support.

Recommended preparationAnyone with entry to the University can study a BCom from 100-level without previous study in the area. However, it is useful to have studied accounting, economics, business studies, and mathematics (especially statistics) at secondary school.
If you have achieved top results in accounting and/or economics at secondary school you may be eligible for direct entry to some 200-level courses.
A good standard of spoken and written English is important.
