Business management crosses every industry, with skilled employees required in the management of any organisation.
The Bachelor of Applied Management covers principles of management alongside applied assignments, which take your learning into the real world. That means you get to apply your knowledge and understanding to solve problems for local businesses as part of practical, industry-based projects. You also take part in group projects to learn how to work in ethnically diverse, global workplaces.
The business management major will ensure you have the ability to apply business management practice and theory in a wide range of contexts, as well as critically reviewing real-life situations in the business management field.
Through our excellent relationships with local employers, you get opportunities to apply for internships or work experience days. You also benefit from listening to numerous guest lectures from practising accountants and other professional specialists.
This course is offered with a flexible combination of online workshops and on-campus tutorials so you can plan your studies around work and other commitments. Also, if you've already completed the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5), you can finish this degree in two years.
