The Level 5 Diploma prepares you for higher level study and build on practical experience and skills learnt in the Level 4 Certificate programme. There is also the added bonus of two short tours to gain performance experience in different venues around Aotearoa including Schools, Theatres and Churches as well as showcase original content created individually and collaboratively in your Major courses.

Performance Dance 3
Perform solo and group repertoire including original dance and reinterpreted choreography and plan and develop stage techniques for performance on tour (Semester One).
DANCE-502
Performance Dance 4
Perform solo and group repertoire including reinterpreted choreography and plan and perform on a tour at a range of venues (Semester Two).
DANCE-503
Dance Technique 2
Further training in the fundamentals of Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop to develop solo and group performances.
DANCE-504
Choreography 2
Using the tools of choreography to create an extended solo and group pieces.
DANCE-505
Dance Fitness 2
Analysing healthy dietary and lifestyle choices and applying understanding of human physiology to support safe dance practice.
DANCE-506
Dance Studies 2
Analysing the origins and influences on dance styles and the works of selected choreographers.
PARTS-507
Performing Arts Industry Studies 2
Applying understanding of small business practices, industry structures and operational practices to prepare for potential work in the industry.

Further understanding and development of strong character and finding out more about God, yourself and others and how it fits into living in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Entry into our Level 5 Diploma is with the EXCEL Level 4 Certificate or NCEA Level 2 or equivalent.
If English is a second language applicants must be able to provide evidence of meeting English Language proficiency requirements. Listed under Rule 18 of NZQA Programme Approval and Accreditation Rules 2013.
Direct entry into Level 5 Diploma / Year Two is possible based on audition evidence.
The minimum age for entry is 18. In the audition, we are looking for evidence of previous experience or training and that the applicant has sufficient skill and talent to cope with the demands of the course. An audition panel assesses whether a place will be offered to you based on your performance ability and English language skills.
