Study the Biological Science major in the Bachelor of Science, and become familiar with microbiology, biodiversity, cells and molecular biology, gene technology, and the ecological and evolutionary processes that drive biological variation.

Entry criteria

All applicants need to meet AUT’s minimum entry requirements qualification equivalent to New Zealand year 13 or University Entrance.

Useful New Zealand school subjects: Biology, Level 3 Chemistry and other science subjects

English Language requirements:

IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher; or equivalent; TOEFL iBT score of 80; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with B/B+ grade; GIE with B grade; CAE minimum overall score of 169; PTE minimum overall score of 50.
