Summary

Positive role models can make a huge difference to our New Zealand youth as they develop their identity and gain crucial life skills.  If you're passionate about working with youth in our communities, mentoring and guiding them to achieve positive goals, this course will give you the skills you need to make a difference in the lives of others.  This course is open to anyone based in the mid to upper North Island who is interested in exploring further study and learning in youth work. The flexible and inclusive learning style enables learners to study alongside employment and other commitments. You'll be required to complete 200 hours of practical work experience. You may already be working or volunteering in the youth work space (10-24 years of age), if not we encourage our ākonga (students) to explore options for Youth Work (volunteer or paid work experience) within your community.  Our Kaiako (teaching staff) are available to assist with navigating options.
