This course equips you with the core skills you need to provide quality care. Over 36 weeks, you’ll cover topics including; the human body, leadership and communication in health, professional practice, palliative and end of life care, community wellness and the New Zealand health system. This course is designed for those who have qualifications and experience in Healthcare, and entry into the course requires you to be currently working as a Healthcare assistant. This course is taught with a 'blended' delivery style, with one day per week in class (Wednesday) and the rest of the learning completed online. This allows flexibility for your work hours and other commitments. Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Care and Support) (Level 4)
