Global Pathways to New Zealand:

Study Options
Students can transfer after completing a SHNU Undergraduate Degree, and achieve a Postgraduate Diploma in Science after a further year of successful full-time study with AUT. Students can then enrol in the AUT Master of Science (majoring in Food Science/Biochemical Science/Chemistry) and graduate from this qualification after a further year of successful full-time study (3 years + 1 year + 1 year).

New Zealand Qualification
This coursework-based qualification includes courses from the Master of Science. You can choose from a wide range of courses in science, or computer and mathematical sciences. Throughout your studies you develop advanced analytical, planning and critical thinking skills. Graduates may progress to further study in the Master of Science or Master of Science (Research).
With the 180-point Master of Science you can complete a research project in an area of your interest and develop advanced-level knowledge of science, or computer and mathematical sciences in as little as one year.
You can choose to study the generic Master of Science focusing on either science or computer and mathematical sciences, or one of: Applied Conservation, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Geospatial Science, Marine Science, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. In as little as one year, you can gain advanced research skills and knowledge in a friendly and professional development.
This is your opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research, under the supervision of AUT's research-active staff in the areas of science, or computer and mathematical sciences.

Entry criteria

Successful completion of the six semesters at SHNU with a minimum B average AND IELTS 6.5 overall (no band less than 6 ) or equivalent
