It's designed to be the beginning of further study. For instance, it provides a pathway towards the Master of Aerospace Engineering.

Alternatively it's an excellent supplementary qualification for professional engineers who want to upskill with domain-specific knowledge.

Our study options in Aerospace Engineering are supported by Te Pūnaha Ātea Auckland Space Institute, which aims to enhance the growth of the New Zealand space sector. The institute is led by academics with deep expertise in the aerospace sector, ideally placing the University of Auckland to deliver a first rate teaching and learning experience for our students.

The PGCertAerospaceEng is available to study part-time.

Minimum requirements listed here are the likely grades required and do not guarantee entry. We assess each application individually and applicants may require a higher grade to be offered a place.

GPA Grade Point Average 3.5

Completed the requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from this University with a Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher in 60 points above Stage III.

Completed a relevant Bachelors degree from this University with a Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher in at least 60 points above Stage II.
