Summary

The Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing Practice is open to registered nurses. Develop a specialty nursing area and further your knowledge, skills and practice with this postgraduate nursing certificate.

The programme consists of 15-point and 30-point papers, which may contribute 60 points towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science, Master of Health Science or Master of Health Practice.

You need a total of 60 points to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing Practice.

Entry criteria

An applicant must have completed the following or equivalent:

  • Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing); OR
  • Graduate Diploma in Health Science; OR
  • Relevant professional practice or experience in a related health field approved by the Dean (or representative) to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree

Other requirements

  • Provide evidence of current professional practice
  • May be required to meet Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA Act) and Children's Act 2014 requirements and other relevant legislation

English Language Requirements:

IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; or equivalent; TOEFL iBT score of 90; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with A grade; AUT Academic English with B+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 176; PTE minimum overall score of 58.
