The Graduate Certificate in Library and Information Leadership will prepare you for a wide range of leadership roles within one or more of the professional sectors specialising in library and information services and management. This qualification is ideal for people in management roles and roles with a strategic focus designing and leading change. Possible career roles include library manager, digital services manager, service delivery manager, archives director, records manager or information manager.
Study pathways
The Graduate Certificate in Library and Information Leadership prepares graduates to enter postgraduate Diploma, Masters and PhD qualifications in related areas such as information management, education, management and community development.
You can study this programme part-time if you’re an international student living in New Zealand or overseas. If you’re living in New Zealand you will need to be in paid employment with a valid work permit.
To enrol in this programme you need to have a Bachelor degree in a relevant field; or significant professional experience in the library, archives, records and information management sectors to the satisfaction of the Programme Leader.
IELTS test – a score of 6 (Academic) with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
Cambridge English Qualifications - B2 First, or B2 First for Schools, or C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill.
