Summary

Develop an advanced understanding of the complexity of recreation, parks and tourism, and expand your potential to contribute to recreation development and planning.

About this programme

Lincoln University’s Postgraduate Diploma in Parks, Recreation and Tourism develops your understanding of the parks, recreation and tourism sectors at an advanced level.

This includes cultivating your knowledge of the behaviour of tourists and people engaging in recreation, and the strategies and methodologies of tourism and recreation service providers.

You’ll also grow an in-depth awareness of how political systems, policy bodies, local or global economic and environmental factors can influence long term planning and business decisions in these sectors.

When you graduate, you’ll be able to apply your understanding of the complexities and nuances of the recreation and tourism industries to planning and development tasks over a range of different levels.

You can take the Postgraduate Diploma in Parks, Recreation and Tourism either as a standalone qualification or use it to staircase your study towards a Master’s degree.
