The Postgraduate Diploma in Māori Studies (PGDipMāoriS) provides an interdisciplinary pathway in mātauranga Māori and te ao Māori perspectives.
Designed for graduates seeking to deepen their understanding of te ao Māori, Māori knowledge, language, culture, societal systems, this diploma forms a foundation for students to make a meaningful contribution in their chosen field.
Through research, critical inquiry and applied practice, students explore pathways in te reo, hauora, critical studies and education that support Māori aspirations, leadership and community wellbeing.
Entry requirements
Admission to MasseyAll students must meet university entrance requirements to be admitted to the University.
Specific requirementsAs well as Massey's general admission requirements, you will also have been awarded or qualified for a relevant bachelor's degree with at least a B grade average across the 200-300 level specialisation courses; or equivalent.
Time limits for Honours, Distinction and MeritWhere your qualification is completed within the stated time limit and to a high standard, you may be able to graduate with a class of Honours, Distinction or Merit.
