The BBiomedSc/BHSc allows you to develop your understanding of community health, health systems and data analytics, as well as the role of government in shaping health policy. You'll explore how health systems function and how biological and social drivers of ill health affect communities. You’ll also gain a strong practical grounding in Biomedical Science through case-based, hands-on learning that shows how molecular and cellular discoveries become medical advances.
The programme offers direct entry from Year 1 into Year 2 clinical programmes so long as you meet entry requirements. It also prepares you for postgraduate clinical and research pathways in New Zealand and overseas.
If you're joining us from secondary school, here's what you need to enter the programme.
You are guaranteed entry to this programme if you meet these requirements.
