Summary

The aim of this program is to develop professional, ethical and highly capable Healthcare Assistants who have a strong foundation of knowledge and practice. Students will become responsive to the changing needs of their clients, and be able to provide outstanding person-centred care under the leadership of a health professional.

Upon completion of the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing – Health Assistance Strand (Level 3) you may be eligible to apply for New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Support) (Level 4).

Mode of learning

Online - Online is a flexible mode of learning without face-to-face attendance requirements. All study is conducted through NZTC Online. Courses are completed and assessed online, and you are part of an online learning community where you can interact with other students and lecturers through online discussion forums to assist your learning.
