The Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences (PGCertHSc) in Medical Imaging is designed for Medical Imaging Technologists (MITs) seeking to extend their understanding of Medical Imaging and contribute to the improvement of clinical health services by applying their knowledge and expertise within Medical Imaging services.

Programme structure

60-point programme.

Students can choose to pursue a generic postgraduate certificate in health sciences or specialise.

For a generic certificate, choose advanced-level courses from the Master of Health Sciences Schedule (60 points).

You must complete the programme in one semester if enrolled full-time, or four semesters if enrolled part-time.

Entry criteria

To gain admission to the PGCertHSc (Medical Imaging), a student must:

have completed an undergraduate degree in medical imaging (or similar) at a recognised university (or similar institution) and have registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board or as a medical radiation technologist.

IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 with no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
