Programme overview

If you have achieved consistently high grades in your Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent) you could be eligible for the honours programme. It will provide you with an additional 120 points of postgraduate research-based study to develop your analytical skills and critical thinking.

You will complete a set of advanced courses in the discipline and a short supervised dissertation or project that will demonstrate your independent research skills. Your honours programme structure and courses will depend on the specialization selected.

Operations and Supply Chain Management

Operations and Supply Chain Management deals with understanding and integrating business processes within and between organisations.

A major in the BCom or specialisation in the MCom in this subject will enable you to use technologically sophisticated methods to solve business problems related to the journey of products and services from the manufacturer or provider to the end customer.

You will gain an understanding of the techniques required for managing and improving the integration of design, resources, processes and customer requirements. Study areas include:

Taught 120 points

You must have completed an undergraduate business degree from a recognised university (or similar institution) with a GPE of 5.0 in the highest level of courses required for the major.

IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands below 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
