JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE:

We assist our students actively with their job search and placement. So far nearly all our students are employed in relevant jobs. The major sectors are: Nursery/Greenhouse, Market Gardeners, Orchards, Garden centres, landscaping etc.

TIME REQUIRED:

Three days (20 hours) on-site, and 13 hours of self-study per week, which includes 5-8 hours of workplace experience.

START DATES

First week of January, April, July, and October each year.

Entry criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or above
  • Have completed NCEA L2 or Senior secondary or equivalent/above
  • English language competence: IELTS 5.5 no band less than 5, or NZCEL L4 (Applied), PToE 42 (Academic) with no score less than 36 or equivalent.
  • Be physically fit to complete practical aspects of the course
