The Academy of Diving Trust has approval from the Tertiary Education Commission and accreditation from NZQA to offer and assess the full range of New Zealand Certificates in Diving. In this exciting and rapidly developing industry, the qualification you gain with Academy of Diving will set you apart.
Enrol into a choice of qualifications and enter an exciting new world where you will gain relevant international diving certifications, New Zealand qualifications, make new friends and maybe even begin a new career. You will find our great team-learning environment combines academic learning with lots of discussion and practical participation.
These New Zealand qualifications developed for the diving industry by the Industry Training Organisation (Skills Active Aotearoa) are designed to guide the non-diver safely through basic scuba diving, advanced scuba diving, specialties such as night diving, wreck diving, boat diving and search and recovery.
On successful completion of your chosen qualification, you will have a high degree of scuba diving skills and emerge a competent and confident diver. Graduates of the Dive Vessel Operations strand will also be able to perform all roles and responsibilities of a crew member to the master during dive vessel operations.
Depending on the qualification you choose to study, you will receive the international rating of PADI Rescue Diver and be awarded the New Zealand Certificate in Diving (Level 3), or progress to PADI Divemaster, and be awarded New Zealand Certificate in Diving (Supervision) provided all requirements are met.
As a graduate, you may choose to either continue tertiary studies, or utilise your newly-acquired skills and work within the dive and outdoor recreation industry. Choose from our nationwide network of education sites and we will conduct an individually tailored training needs analysis and help you to enrol in a qualification that is right for you.
No previous diving experience necessary.
