Summary
The Diploma of Art and Creativity (Advanced) is a natural progression from the level 6 programme, building on each student’s existing skill base and working towards the development of professional practice.
Students will produce a body of experimental work for shared discussion. These experimental works are designed to become part of a public showing in a forum that suits each student’s practice. The body of work prepared should have coherent and consistent themes.
Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of what is involved in being a practising creative in the discipline of their choice.
Programme requirements will be met naturally during the course of the programme and progress will be reviewed at regular intervals during the programme.
Delivery: Distance Delivery (study from home) and on campus delivery options are available.
Entry criteria
The qualification provides a pathway from the:
New Zealand Diploma in Creativity (Level 6)
New Zealand Diploma in Arts & Design (Level 6)
New Zealand Diploma in Fashion (Level 6)
New Zealand Diploma in Digital Media & Design (Level 6)
New Zealand Diploma in Nga Toi (Level 6)
Students who have not completed at the previous programme level can apply for entry using TLC’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. (Note: acceptance via the RPL process is not automatic. Evidence presented must demonstrate sufficient ability at the required level).
