Summary

This one-year master's degree provides a highly relevant business education that addresses the contemporary challenges facing business managers. The Master of Business Management has been redesigned to help you customise your studies to suit your needs in advancing your career in business. It’s ideal for students with an undergraduate degree in any discipline, as well as professionals already working in the industry.

You’ll further your skills in managing people, organisations and change, while developing advanced knowledge from sustainable business, business innovation and digital business. With a strong practical component, the Master of Business Management enables you to apply your knowledge to real business issues and problems.

The Master of Business Management is taught over three 10-week trimesters. Each trimester includes 10 weeks of teaching, with exams scheduled in weeks 11 and 12.

You must successfully complete 180 points, made up of core courses (90 points) and elective courses (90 points). All courses are 15 points unless stated otherwise. As part of the Master of Business Management you complete an applied project that addresses a strategic or operational issue in an organisation.

You can choose how many courses you take to fit around work demands and personal commitments, as long as you complete the qualification within four years. You can continue working full-time while completing your Master of Business Management part-time.

Entry criteria

Must have completed a bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) with a B- grade average in papers at level 7 or equivalent

English Language Requirements:

IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with a minimum score of 6.0 in each band; TOEFL iBT score of 90; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with A grade; AUT Academic English with B+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 176; PTE minimum overall score of 58.
