Diocesan School for Girls is a prestigious private school founded in 1903. Academically, we consistently rank in the top three schools in New Zealand. Students at Dio learn in smaller classes with exceptional facilities. Our students have the unique opportunity to choose from two education pathways; NCEA or the International Baccalaureate Diploma. We invest in specialist teachers who recognise talent and support learning at the highest levels. Our Director of International Students, Simone Clark, understands that leaving family and friends on the other side of the world can be very daunting and an international student’s main concern is feeling welcomed and cared for. Therefore from a family’s first enquiry from overseas to their daughter’s very last day in New Zealand, Simone ensures that she is a part of School life for these girls. Simone really values the relationships she forms with the students and their families. When she is travelling overseas, she enjoys meeting with parents to discuss their daughter's progress.
At Dio we want to ensure an international student is well supported to make the most of her overseas experience. Alongside Simone, our Pastoral Care Team and the International Student Support Coordinator provides comprehensive care for our international students, ensuring their transition into Dio is as easy as possible. All the teachers, her host family or boarding staff will take an active interest in making sure your daughter is safe and happy.
Diocesan School for Girls is located in Epsom, Auckland. It is a 10 minute drive to the City Centre and only 20 minutes from the Auckland International Airport.
