Milford School is a state funded, co-educational primary school catering for approximately 520 pupils from Year 1 (5yrs) to Year 6 (10-11yrs of age). The school has beautiful grounds with large mature trees along the perimeter. It is situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Pupuke on Auckland's North Shore. The Milford area is a well established, popular area to live, with its proximity to Auckland City, and the nearby safe swimming beach, Lake Pupuke and the excellent sporting and recreational facilities.
Milford School welcomes international students. We are recognised nationwide and internationally for both our academic excellence and appreciation of cultural diversity of our students. We value the contribution students and families from different countries bring to our school community.
Milford School has the atmosphere of an International School as many of our students’ families have migrated to New Zealand in the last decade. Apart from those who are residents of New Zealand, we have a number of International Fee Paying students.
In order for us to give the very best experience to our International students, we have a well resourced ESOL Department with the staff and resources necessary to support these students.
Our Director of International Students is Mrs Gordana Stanojevic. Gordana is very experienced, having taught English as a Second Language for more than 25 years. She has lived in New Zealand for twenty three years, originally coming from Serbia. The ESOL staff liaise closely with the classroom teachers to ensure that pupils are settled and fully involved with the school curriculum.
Milford School International Students Programme offers:
Students at Milford School always come first. In our learning environment students will learn, grow and develop socially, intellectually and culturally over the years they are with us. We pride ourselves on providing an innovative and holistic education where personal excellence is achieved.
