Quote from an International student:
"There are a wide range of subjects to choose from eg Art Painting, Art Design, Photography and Drama. Also there is an opportunity to accelerate in subjects that I am good at eg Mathematics. The content taught in each subject is deep and I also am able to put theory into practice eg Business Challenge and Market Day. The style of teaching is more relaxed; my teachers are very friendly, supportive and willing to assist me at anytime.
I too feel very relaxed in my learning environment; this has given me great confidence to ask many questions, seek assistance with my work when I need it and talk to my peers about my learning in the classroom.
I have been with my host family for one and a half years. They are take care of me like I am their own daughter. They are interested in my education, take me to lovely places, have introduced me to their friends and other family members. They quickly immersed me into the culture of New Zealand. My home is modern and very comfortable.
Very quickly I made friends with New Zealand and other International Students. My friends and I hang out together; we go to town, we shop, eat, visit places and sometimes we even study together!"
