Shirley Boys' High School is located in the city of Christchurch on the east coast of the South Island. Shirley Boys' is a single sex secondary school with a roll of 1250 boys. We pride ourselves in being specialists in boys education and provide high quality learning that prepares young men to succeed in their world. There is a strong focus on academic achievement, sporting success, cultural participation, service in the community and leadership. This is supported by active teaching of and engagement with our values of Belonging, Character, Respect, Whānau and Better than Before.
Shirley Boys' has an emphasis on academic success, developing independence and a personal commitment to achieve. Learning specifically tailored to suit boys' needs ensures higher engagement resulting in greater success and higher achievement levels.
