Summary

At Waimea College we work hard to place our students at the centre of everything we do. Our co-educational college has all the advantages that come with being one of the South Island’s largest secondary schools, yet we offer the warmth, encouragement and intimacy of a small school.

We strive to develop well-rounded, confident young adults who are equipped for our modern and changing world.

Waimea College is a co-educational secondary school of around 1650 students located at the top of New Zealand's beautiful South Island. Our region enjoys a warm climate, a safe and friendly community and an excellent selection of high quality homestay families. We have on average 75 international students at any one time, many who achieve highly and have gone on to study at a variety of tertiary institutions in New Zealand and around the world. Our international department is well staffed and our students receive a high level of in-school support. The College offers a large variety of subjects that students may succeed in, including both practical and theoretical courses. We hope you will consider Waimea College and look forward to hearing from you soon.
