Tamaki College

Summary

Tamaki College is a decile 1A co-educational state secondary school established in 1957 which caters for students from Year 9 to Year 13 and is situated in the east Auckland suburb of Glen Innes. The school serves the local communities of Glen Innes, Pt England and Panmure particularly, but there are students from all parts of Auckland who choose to attend Tamaki College. Additionally, Tamaki College delivers technology education to students of many of the local contributing schools, and has specialised Academy programmes in Technology and the Services.

A wide range of creative approaches and pedagogies are employed within the life of Tamaki College, along with our commitment to Blended Learning, to deliver excellent teaching and ensure positive outcomes for our students. We strongly believe that each and every student that walks through our gates has the potential to succeed.

We are a family-focused school, and seek to interact and work with parents and whanau/kainga/aiga in the work of educating our students for service as our community’s leaders of tomorrow and equipping them to be positive role-models and members of our society.
