Kia ora, and welcome to Riccarton High School. We have supported international students to achieve their educational goals for over 25 years, and we host more than fifty international students annually.

Riccarton High School is a co-educational state school, with just over 1,100 students. We are a medium-sized secondary school, located in Christchurch city, and we pride ourselves on our close-knit community spirit.

We offer a homestay accommodation service, placing students with quality-assured local families who provide an airport welcome, all meals and board.

Our dedicated teachers, international staff and support services assist with all aspects of life and study in New Zealand.

Enrolment options range from 10-week programs to five years, or the completion of secondary school.

Riccarton High School students can gain a world-recognised university entrance qualification, the National Certificate in Education Achievement (NCEA Levels 1-3). We support our international students to enrol in universities and tertiary providers in New Zealand and abroad.
