Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship recognises and supports high-achieving students at Te Whare W?nanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury who are entering their first year of a programme for a BA, BDataSci, or BSc degree and majoring in Data Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.

Tenure: One year
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: The scholarship is tenable during full-time enrolment in a programme for a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at the University of Canterbury with:

a major in Data Science and an enrolment in MATH 102 and STAT 101; or
a major in Financial Engineering and an enrolment in MATH 103 and STAT 101; or
a major in Mathematics and an enrolment in MATH 103; or
a major in Statistics and an enrolment in STAT 101

Special Requirements: Must have completed, or be completing, a university entrance qualification and have studied at secondary level in New Zealand in the year of application (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior), either (1) in New Zealand, or (2) overseas at Te Aho o Te Kura. International students who meet these requirements are eligible to apply
