The purpose of this scholarship is to award engineering students attending the University of Canterbury, particularly international engineering students, who are considered likely in their future lives to promote and foster racial tolerance, co-operation, and understanding.
Tenure: One year
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: The scholarship may only be held by full-time students of the University of Canterbury, who have completed, or have been exempted from, the Engineering Intermediate examination and are taking subjects of the Professional courses, leading to a degree of Bachelor of Engineering with Honours
The scholarship may be held only by full-time students of the University of Canterbury who have completed, or who have been exempted from, the Engineering Intermediate examination and are taking subjects of the Professional courses leading to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering with Honours. The holder of the scholarship, and previous holders, may apply for the award in subsequent years. The scholarship may be held with any other bursary, scholarship, prize or tertiary allowance, unless the conditions of the other awards preclude it.
