This award supports master’s and PhD students in Te Kura Ngahere | School of Forestry at Te Whare W?nanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury, by contributing to expenses associated with presenting a paper at a relevant conference. In the absence of suitable candidates, the applications may be opened to eligible students seeking support to meet other costs associated with their study.

Number available annually: Up to two
Applications for conference support must be made online at the Scholarships website1 by 1 April, or by 1 September (if the available fund has not been allocated in the 1 April round).
If, in any year, the award has been opened to support other activities, applications for such support must be made online at the Scholarships website by 1 September.
Applications are accepted from previous recipients of the award, and are given equal consideration with applications from those who have not held the award before.
