Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be female.

Normally applicants must either: a. have graduated with a degree from the University of Canterbury; or b. be completing a programme for a degree that would qualify them, in the year of application for the scholarship, to graduate from the University of Canterbury.

The scholarship is tenable by full-time students engaged in study for a research doctoral degree1 at a university in Europe. Preference is given to those who will be studying at the University of Cambridge, the University of London, or the University of Oxford.

An applicant must have completed an appropriate qualification at a level judged to be equivalent to a bachelor’s or master’s degree with first-class honours at the University of Canterbury (equivalent to a UC GPA of at least 7.0).

Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time study for a research doctoral degree at a university in Europe
Tenure: Three consecutive years
